The gadget looks very good. The usability is very poor when it comes to customisations: *main topic/tab can not be removed *hard to remove unused programs *hard to add links/shortcuts I would suggest to create a customisation screen (through Gadget Options).

For everybody who has had trouble figuring out this gadget… I know I did. I went to the creator’s website (http://www.ahounou.com/sommaire.html)… It’s all in french so I had to makes some guesses to find the google desktop application he created. He has some documentation that is done in English (I would post the page, but he doesn’t use static pages). When you click the parameters button (the little green one in the upper right hand corner) and you have one of the icons hilighted go to the bottom line and click the button to toggle between the name and the command line. Then just copy and past the application directory path (i.e. — c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Photoshop.exe). This should make it work. Takes a little bit of time to get everything done… but now it’s pretty sweet and not to hard to customize (I was about to go though and change the code and repackage it… to make it work when I figured this out)

Worked on my vista great. It's a great gadget. The only thing I think could improve it is the ability to make it thinner so I could have a thinner sidebar.

??? Isn't this a HUGE security breach? My browser can now launch any commands on my desktop via iGoogle.

I need to find the save directory but its not under google or any other directory I can think of. I made a few mistakes that resulted in a few glitches and now want to do fresh install of gadget but I can't find it to uninstall it :(

Works 4 me on vista. And no need to chenge shortcuts adding a "/". Perfect... Small improvement : permit to add/remove "tab" & more application in tab. Mthks

Making my Graphics application work (in XP) requred: 1. Manually edit the file "personalValues.js" 2. The EXACT syntax in the Graphics section is: ["MicroGraphX", "\"\D:\\Program Files\\Micrografx\\Picture Publisher 8\\pp80.exe", "stock_images\\MicroGraphx.png"]

Vraiemment excellent la seul contrainte etant de re-édité le fichier C:\Program Files\Google\appLauncher\personalValues.js et de prefixé tout les chemin physique qui on un espace par \" ainsi "C:\\program files\\..." devient "\"C:\\program files\\..." Merci a Ismael pour l'aide par mail.

1. The storage of personal setting should be done in the system "program files" folder. Except that it doesn't acctually look for the folder's name, so if you have windows in another language, it will still create a folder named "program files" 2. Shortcuts are malformed. For your shortcuts to work you must add a \" before and after the shortcut path in the C:\Program Files\Google\appLauncher\personalVales.js file. That's because when you add blank spaces to the shortcut path, it breaks the application link.

Hello all, Bundled path are done with my computer and all is working well. Probably your system configurtion is different. If you could'nt configure shortcuts, try editing config file ; maybe will it be more easier ? Send me email if you experience problems.

Cannot customize it at all! Every time a message pops up - Cannot execute "file name". Even many of the built in buttons don't work - I get the same message... It could be very good gadget but...
