Hello this is Ty, the developer of eBay Auction Watch. I just saw these comments. Thanks a million for the feedback and feature requests. I hope to get the suggestions about highlighting and shipping price. Auto deleting closed auctions was added in 4.3. You'll need to login to your My eBay the first time and click the 'Remember me' box to have it work on subsequent clicks. The gadget can manually sync with eBay time or you can adjust it manually. Auto sync is turned off by default. I've updated the documentation to highlight this information. *** RE: Bob. The item number is actually on the sidebar after the title but there is usually not enough room to see it. Stretch the sidebar sideways and you'll see it hiding there. I'll also add this in the flyout in the next version. RE: Cody Dawg: Please be sure you have a current version of Google Desktop! RE: party of six: Yes, this bug has been reported to Google. We'll see what they come up with. It is super annoying. I'll have a temporary fix out soon. RE: Anonymous: Google takes a while to update this page. If you click "Download gadget" you'll get 4.5. Sorry for the confusion. RE:Robert: I plan to turn this off by default in the next version. RE: Anonymous. This gadget was originally written in Feb 2006. The latest update was released a few months ago (Dec 2008). It is always tested with the latest version of Google Desktop. I'll look into this bug. Please email me, so we can fix it. I like the gadget.. I use the gadget.. I >NEED< this gadget.. so when I tried to UPgrade the gadget, it fails and says "Failed to copy the gadget - eBay Auction Watch Please check if a gadget with the same name is already installed and remove the old gadget before proceeding." I've removed the old gadget and the error still persists..>>>>>>>>> Fixed: Had to go into My Documents/My Google Gadgets and manually delete the AuctionWatch gadget.. reinstall worked properly afterwards.

VERY wonderful gadget. I like everything about it, except the fact that on Vista x64 it has some glitches (mostly because Google Desktop and it's widgets are not meant for this platform). But otherwise a very nifty and even handy widget or gadget for those who use eBay selling and tools!

This gadget was written quite a while back and seems to be incompatible with newer releases of Google Desktop. After my computer comes out of sleep mode the gadget comes up blank and going into the gadget's options brings up a dialog box with blank controls.

That "do you want to watch this item" requester that comes up (before I even get to see the item) every time I click on an item on ebay is a little annoying. You can click on "watch" anyways from the "ebay" web page (IMPORTANT) after you have had a chance to decide weather you want to watch it or not. After clicking "no" about a thousand times I finally got irritated enough to go into options and turn it off. Might want to make it default to this, put a check box in requester "not to ask anymore" or even better just remove it. Otherwise great gadget.

I keep getting a popup saying version 4.5 is available, but it still says version 4.4 on this page.

Ty - The only reason I didn't rate this a full 5 Star is a little glitch that seems to plague ours. On system boot when the Google Desktop loads, this tool is the only one that doesn't load at the last size it was set at. It loads as a small box afterwhich, my wife has to resize it to where it was before. Any way to fix this? Otherwise, great tool, my wife loves it - until she can't stand resizing it! :)

I love this application. One great addition would be the item number. I often discuss item before bidding with the seller and searching the email body with the item number brings up all the conversations. At the moment I have to log onto Ebay to find the item numbers.

I was initially very happy with this items ability to track the auctions I was following. Seems clean and easily customized. The weakness was in the way it executes. The first (and only) auction I was tracking ended with a loss due to the 15 second time delay this gadget seems to have. I lost the auction because I was late to bid--thanks to this little gadget and its poor ability to synchronize its clock's to ebay's.

Love the gadget. Makes my EBay life so much easier when one click gets me to my Summary page without having to go through the sign in process and navigating. Thanks Ty!

Excellent gadget but could do with an option to auto delete closed auctions and the 'my ebay' link should login automatically.

Pros: Quicker to check bids/items watched Cons: Takes up a lot of space. Suggestions for future updates: 1. Perhaps add user option to modify names of items to save on space 2. Option to highlight entire item (background and all) when winning a bid 3. Let users sort items as they please (ex: order of interest, total price, etc...) 4. Allow option to factor in shipping costs when showing price. Don't let my suggestions give the wrong impression, this is a very handy gadget to have if you plan on using ebay!
