This gadget indexes AutoCAD 2000 format files.I am using AutoCAD 2008 now in my computer.There were AutoCAD 2000 formatted files in my computer and it indexed all of the texts in it.İt also indexes when you save your files AS AUTOCAD 2000 files in autocad 2008. While I don't have this product, it looks like it will review the text inside the file and report it in searches. Let's say you have an assembly drawing. An individual part in the assembly with a 'text' part number could return a result. Could be very useful to the right person.

As I'm running 2008 and most of my files have been converted to 2007 format I can't really use this but to answer Rick....Autodesk's AutoCAD software produces DWG (drawing) files. This app just enables the google desktop search to include them in it's search.

What is this Gadget? What does it do in laymans terms? In sales jargon the prevailing question and Answer session goes like this - If you have to ask how much an item costs, you cannot afford it.
