I used to use this plugin, but since I upgraded to GDS 5.8 I find that it causes indexing to freeze. There is an updated version from the same author called DWG2009 Indexer which seems to work fine.

Works great on 50% of the PCs I tried it on. Now after I install, it doesn't even show up in the Indexing Plugins list on the GDS Preferences page.

The developer of this plug-in have a DWG/DXF version which can dynamically generate thumbnails: www.DWGIndex.com
