It would be very good if there were a sound notification upon new mails.

I really like this gadget a lot, but I am still forced to use GMail Icon due to the fact of it not playing a sound when I recieve new mail. I have an mp3 file that I have the other gadget play whenever it detects new mail. If this did that I would be able to get rid of the other gadget.

Nice, i'd like the option for sound notificaiton, as well as support for themes.

Would be nice if this would auto-update and/or provide a new mail count when listing your labels. This is a good start though.

So when are you going to add some of these features to the tray icon. similar to the mac version or even better the linux version checkgmail

Nice and Intuitive interface, but star features missing: 1. Applying labels 2. Ability to download attachments directly 3. Ability to upload attachments in new mail 4. Browse through labels Once I've got these, I'm going to replace my Thunderbird client...

I've got Google Desktop 5.7.0712.18632-en-GB-pb , and it keeps telling me that this gadget requires at least version 5 of Google Desktop. I wonder why .7 above 5. is not enough
