The mail icon is way too big!

i have problem. when i have a new mail, it just write me a number of new email, but it dont open a preview window. i dont know how to setup this. i try it in google desktop/ configure, but gmail ikon isnt here. Can you help me?

it's really awesome...but it doesn't give status of new mail that belongs to any "LABEL"..

Only thing that would make this better would be the ability to delete or mark as read within the window, without having to go to Gmail itself.

If your gmail icon says "password!" and you have tried retyping your password over and over again, then you gmail account might be locked with captcha. Thats what happened to mine. I unlocked my account and my gmail icon worked. Hope this helps. :)

This is an awesome gadget, to start with it showed the Password ! thing then i edited my account to ........@gmail.com instead of ........@googlemail.com and then it worked briliantly. Thanks Google!

I tried this nice gadget in my Sidebar. After a computer crash I had to re-install google desktop and now I can't add Gmail Icon, a messagge says to remove the former gadget with the same name and retry, but I'm not able to do this. Can you help me? Thanks! (and sorry for the english...) Roberto

Exactly What I wanted. I have my google voice forward my sms messages to email, this alerts me of them immediately (set update to 0).

Just great!!!!! This is exactly what I need, and no crap. However I can't enable alerts for this gadget as it says in options...

i love it oh and by the way when it says password click the arrow then click the options and reenter your password!

I'm using two instances of this gadget with mixed results. The first works great in accessing my mail through Google Apps. Very simple to set up. easy to use. The second instance displays the word "password" intead of my account name, and an "!" instead of number of messages. This one is accessing my gmail account. What to do?

I have used this gadget for a long time, then without warning it stopped working. It simply says, "Password" and "!" Any ideas of how to fix? I have added my password and everything I can think of.

I just installed desktop, gadgets and your gadget. It looks great, but because of limited space, could it's height be reduced?
