I like the concept, but it needs an edit button. Also, it needs to let you format the showing date however you want it. Like 'month/day/year'.

there is no proper scheduler on google gadgets but this is a good attempt.name,desc and ID should not all be mandatory.

Add a drop down item list for repeating notify email address so you don't have to type in an address each time,
