It's a .msi file that you have to download and install. It is over a megabyte. Resource hungry by the looks of it. And if temperature is all that it tells you, you may as well use smartd tools.

it works and it is easy to download and install and delete so easy but didn't do what i wanted it to do

It installs but I see no options or anything pertaining to HDDLife

The freeware version will monitor only one (1) drive. No data will be shown until you select which drive is to be monitored.

I could not get the gadget to install using the link on this page. I had to go to their website. Once installed it did not work with my HP laptop. I consistently got error messages from the gadget. I've Vista. The gadget doesn't even show its face anywhere. It cannot be run. I had to unistall it using a specific third part tool...
