At one time this add on worked great, but hasn't for some time, at least on my VISTA. I tried downloading it again and again to see if there has been an improvement. But never works. Why doesn't Google add this to their basic Desktop search and solve everybody's problem. I see by the comments that I am hardly alone and there are no alternatives except wordperfect's quickfinder which is not as convenient. Because I use WP this is very important to me and accounts for half of my would be Desktop Searches. Thank you in advance Google.

This is an excellent plug-in that offers functionality that should be included with GDS. You can see other Larry's plug-ins at http://www.trivex.net/

It works, but I would like to change indexable fileextensions during runtime.

This used to be a great plug-in, but now it seems to cause explorer.exe to constantly refresh and not actually index any text files.
