Interestingly useful... The idea of a scroll bar is a good one. Also, maybe add an option to exclude, or show ONLY certain things (like client, host, or ports) This would help it be more useful in identifying what is legit, and what isnt...

Handy gadget - but I have to keep opening it to a full window to see latest entries - they don't seem to stay scrolled to top of view. Also, when I accept an update of gadget I end up with two in my sidebar. Did it actually update or install a new later one. And so which one do I now delete...

This gadget would be much more usefull if there were down and up speed near each list position. At the top of the list there also could be actual total down and up speed with dodal data rend/received (in three columns viev). And a little suggestion - there is a standard that application icon is before the application name, but is a habit problem. But generally it is just excellent gadget :) thanks a lot

Excellent gadget. 2 improvements I would make: 1) In the expanded view either expand height to display all entries or take up the full height of the monitor 2) rather than a scroll bar in the docked view perhaps enable scrolling on mouseover using the mouse scroll wheel (but not taking up room with a visible scroll bar)

A scroll bar while docked would be a great addition, however, the gadget still performs very well. No complaints. Good work, thank you!

Nice start but needs a scroll bar and the ability to sort by various variables (connection type, bandwidth, etc)

Vista users: To install this gadget, right-click on the installer and select "Run As Administrator"! Very cool little gadget. I second the motion for a scroll bar. Also, at least when running in Vista, I almost never see an icon for a connection, though there are numerous connections associated with a program visibly running in the tray. A simple filter and a few more configurations options might be nice, too.

I like this little gadget, but I would like it even more if it had some type of logging feature.

Despite the quibbling over minor details that will surely be fixed in future releases, this gadget actually helped me spot a nasty RAT that slipped by AVAST!, NOD, and Norton. I'm *very* thankful, even though I had to reinstall to rid my system of the blasted thing.

Two words scroll bar

I just started using NetStat, and my initial impression is that it's a useful gadget and nicely done. One suggestion I have is that when the window is not large enough to hold all the connection entries, provide a scroll bar, as when it's undocked. At the very least, there should be an indication that some entries are hidden. I like the security of taking in at a glance a picture of all network connections to my computer. If I might be missing some that are off the screen, there's not much assurance in looking at the list. Update: It seems that listening ports are not always shown. I have processes that listen on various ports continuously, and they sometimes show up and other times don't. Makes me not trust that I'm seeing all connections.

It is really great and useful :) specially when you have web server like applications on your system and also it is great to check which process is using which port. Thanks for making great gadget :) Regards, Anand.

I get a notice that there is an update for this gadget almost every day. This is a stupid waste of my time. You can fix it or you'll lose more users like me.

howdy y'all, THREE probs ... [1] why is the "about" entry grayed out? makes it kinda difficult to check the version ... [2] why does the UPDATE button for v-1.3a trigger a 2nd instance of desktop netstat on the sidebar? [3] the gadget update doesn't seem to update anything. this is the 2nd time i've been notified of an update for this and the calendar gadget and they SEEM to install but don't ACTUALLY do so. i've even tried to REMOVE and then ADD the gadgets without any change. take care, lee

Does not install when logged in a Vista LUA account, even when running in XP SP2 compatibility mode. It does work in XP SP2, though.
