Works great, when it wants too...which isn't often. I'll stream audio from their site...way more reliable and less frustrating.

3 stars for trying, but I agree. Please let us know when this is available for mac users. WMP is SO terrible and so are PC's I'm a loyal NPR listener and lover!

Requires windows media player - seriously, if i wanted that i would have bought a PC. Wish they would have told me before i went through all that trouble. I dont want WMP to try and take over my machine and be the default player.

I was so excited when I found out that I could listen to npr from my desktop. Then I discovered that Google Desktop doesnt support 64bit Vista :(

I absolutely love the NPR gadget, but a feature I'd really like to see (if it is possible) is the buttons remaining visible when you collapse the widget. While the titles of the articles are important when pilfering through the set, I don't use them when I set it to play in the morning and I'd really like to use the space for other things.

Space on the Google Desktop Sidebar is limited, and this gadget, with it's big logo and giant buttons takes too much vertical space. Please consider reducing the size of the gadget.

This is not set up to use on a Mac - at least not for folks like me that need to be able to just click and go. Too bad.
