Hi All, Thanks a lot for your comments !. This Google gadget uses the currently selected 'Voice' of the Windows Operating System. It can be changed through 'Text to Speech' or 'Speech' dialog box, under Control Panel. If there are several 'Voices' installed in your Windows OS, you'll be able to use them by changing the default 'Voice'.

Great man...it do as it says but can be improved by supporting mp3 files or by adding support for converting audio to text.

I noticed on the new download/install when you locate a text file and select "save as wav" the app travels with the mouse courser to the desktop, XP sp3. You have to place it back on the Google window each time.

you should use mp3 or some thing with a higher quality than wav. but very good idea.

Thanks for this lovely gadget. However you still need to work on voice modulation for basic statements like i love you and thank you. Voice is very flat and so is hard to understand some words. An option for male and female voice would be really great. Good work.

Sticks to my cursor (Win XP) when I click to save and then try to leave the Google bar. Quite good now ... but don't stop working on it! Pronounces my wife's name as Avise (ah-vees) instead of Avis (Latin for bird A-vis)

This is great. The speech is quite good imho. If you do future development, I'd love to have the choice for a female-sounding voice. Thanks for doing this!

I nearly tinkled in my own pants. That is hilarious. I made a homework nagging wav for my 17 yr old son. I made one for my office that says go away and close the door behind you. My belly aches. My cheeks ache. Thank you for this gadget.

I get a better voice on the text to voice feature on my Nokia mobile.{I get better voices in my head too but that isnt relevant} Fun idea though.
