Yes that was a bug which has been fixed in V 1.1. Also the file is a bit smaller. Download Gadget link will download the latest Version Yes James work is in progress for version 2 where Monthly view will also be added.

Can not change to the monthly calendar, only has the day. The original calendar gadget had it when the google desktop was installed.

doesn't work well with Windows 7. Date and year overlap. can't view month.
