To delete your Google Desktop index, follow these steps:
- Go to the Start menu > Programs > Google Desktop > Uninstall Google Desktop.
- Select the 'Remove completely for all users' option in the dialog box that appears.
- Click Yes.
- Deselect the 'Keep index and gadgets' checkbox.
- Click Uninstall to complete the process.
Instead of deleting your entire index, you can remove or exclude specific items from your index, or pause the indexing of new items.
